The object of The Seven Horizons Project is to assess emerging technologies – especially human enhancement technologies and their associated areas (e.g. autonomous artificial intelligence) – and factually answer these questions about each:
- How seriously should we take this?
- How much time have we got?
This effort is sponsored by Issues in Science and Technology, the public policy journal of the National Academies; The Center for Law, Science and Innovation of Arizona State University’s Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law; and the Prevail Project: Wise Governance for Challenging Futures, at ASU Law.
